the vibration of • • GATSBI

Gatsbi exists as an enigmatic entity at the intersection of the sacred and the feral. A romantic wanderer, she searches for meaning and beauty in the ruins. She is an artist built from the raw voltage of femininity, which knows both pain and how to heal it. She is introspective, sensual and untamed. Steered by her own internal weather and spiritual energy, she is capable of stillness that feels dangerous and movement that feels ritualistic. In all she creates, she seeks to reveal what it feels like to be haunted by your own power.

Visual Motifs

Recurring symbols weave the Gatsbi Universe into a unified visual mythology: spirals and concentric circles suggest the eternal inward journey, spiritual awakening, hypnosis, obsession, and the cycle of life. Wings suggest her nature as a being capable of transcendence but stuck, out of place. Anatomical imagery (a brain scan, an X-ray ribcage, Rorschach blot) codes the psyche itself as subject matter. Religious iconography reflects her reverence for the divine and the potential for transformation. The female figure is frequently silhouetted, backlit into pure black form, denying the viewer easy access to her face while amplifying her symbolic power. Weapons appear (handguns, swords, bow and arrows) not as violence but as sovereignty. Eggs, both whole and cracking, signal emergence and becoming. The motif of hands in extreme close-up (gripping, pointing, releasing) emphasizes the tender yet powerful energy in her touch. Bondage, ropes, and restraint allude to sexuality. To Gatsbi, the one bound is the one in control. Other recurring motifs include: water, mirrors, spirals, birds, shadows

Texture & Color

Textures are rough, analog and lived in — pixel and grain-heavy photography, smudged graphite, cracked eggshell, worn wood, wet skin, elderly faces, scars, tattoos, fog, velvet, concrete, smeared glass, natural decay, dried blood. Everything is tactile and cinematic. But her presence, when free and transcendent, is able to puncture the weathered world with a unique purity. With a clean, smooth holiness, Gatsbi is a beacon of optimism and hope for mankind.

The palette is predominantly desaturated — heavy blacks, ash grays, bone whites, and the cold silver of old film. Where color breaks through, it does so with vivid presence: electric blue neon, a flash of acid yellow-green, orange amber warmth behind skin, a smear of crimson.

Locations

Settings alternate between confinement and expanse, interiority and exposure. Lived-in domestic interiors with bare mattresses and weathered walls contrast open wilderness – fog-covered fields and roadside asphalt at dusk. The lower class American Family home, space age design, dystopian urban scapes, insane asylums, vintage cars, majestic churches, otherworldly nature and abstract studios that seem to exist in liminal spaces serve as recurring locations.
